Meet Kristopher Dahir
In November 2020 Councilman Kristopher Dahir was elected to his second term serving the City of Sparks. He has called Nevada “home” for over 40 years. He holds degrees in psychology and a Masters in strategic leadership. For most of his career, he has concentrated on work with non-profits and businesses. He is a chaplain for the Northern Nevada State Veterans Home, & president of the Nevada Veterans Memorial Board. He is serving his second year as president of the Sparks Centennial Rotary Club, a pastor at Outlook Christian Church, and the president and board trustee for Nevada Christian College.
Meet Jim Marchant
Since 1984 Jim Marchant has been a leader and innovator in the computer software, Internet, and telecommunication industries. He has founded and served as CEO and President of numerous technology companies. In 1984 Jim founded and operated a computer software company and sold computers and software throughout the country. In 1994 Jim founded and operated one of the first Internet service provider companies in the country. After retiring in 2003 Jim moved to Nevada in 2005. In 2016 Jim ran for and won the Nevada State Assembly seat representing District 37 in Las Vegas. He served on the Commerce and Labor, Energy, Taxation, and Government Affairs Committees.
Meet Gerard Ramalho
Gerard Ramalho is a long-time News Anchor and Reporter from Las Vegas. He has 30-years on-air experience working across the country and has earned numerous awards including 7 regional Emmy Awards. As a journalist Gerard asked the tough questions and reported the facts objectively and with integrity. Gerard is involved with numerous non-profit organizations where he has served as Media Liaison, Board Member, Spokesperson, and Director of Strategic Partnerships with The Just One Project. Now he wants to apply those characteristics in office to strengthen our state for all its citizens. Restoring confidence in the election process, growing business opportunity and improving licensing efficiency will be primary objectives.
Meet The Honorable Richard Scotti
The Honorable Richard Scotti, former District Judge, has resided in Nevada with his wife for 30 years. He was elected twice as Governor of the State Bar and appointed by the Supreme Court as a Settlement Judge. Prior to Judge, Scotti owned a law firm practicing business, real estate, and construction law. He served as Prosecutor, General Counsel, and Administrative Law Judge for the Nevada State Contractor’s Board. He is currently most known for his “separation of powers” decision in which he held that two Democrat Senators cannot simultaneously serve in the Executive branch to enforce the very same laws that they are writing.
